One of Silloth’s most popular rugby figures, Joe Kirkup, continues to show what a true community champion he is. Joe has donated money to provide rugby opportunities in Carlisle and also delivers weekly rugby sessions in Silloth, helping introduce more young people to the sport.
Not only is he delivering free after-school Tag Rugby sessions at Longtown Primary School after May half-term, using money he raised at Christmas to purchase all the equipment needed, he has also introduced the project through his work at Silloth Secondary School.
A brilliant example of giving back to the community, supporting young people, and helping keep children attracted to rugby, teamwork, exercise and healthy lifestyles in a fun and safe environment.
